Be Enterprising is County Durham’s Local Enterprise Growth Initiative. Our vision is that by 2016 communities in County Durham will be the most enterprising in the North East and the fastest improving areas for enterprise and productivity in England. Since 2006 we’ve helped over 1000 people to set up new businesses.
The Be Enterprising programme is supported by £8.5m LEGI funding from government and £4.1m from the European Union Regional Development Fund, awarded to Durham County Council.
Be Enterprising offers a range of products and services to people and businesses in the employment hotspots of County Durham, aiming to increase entrepreneurial activity to the national average and increase business productivity and survival rates.
