Invest in skills for the future

Research shows companies that invest in the skills of their workforce are two and a half times more likely to survive tough times than those who don’t.

Hard-to-fill vacancies in the science, engineering and manufacturing sectors cost the UK economy an estimated £858 million a year in lost productivity; as the economic downturn bites, now is the time to invest in skills so that you’re better placed to survive the recession and ready to compete when the economy recovers.
