            Durham County Council aims to support the continuous improvement of the County’s infrastructure and environment. Help is available to businesses operating in County Durham and those wanting to move into the area. Companies and individuals looking to start up, expand or diversify within the County have a range of support available to them.

 The Business Services Team, working with County Durham Development Company (CDDC), operates a number of business parks and other developments such as the state of the art, environmentally friendly, Tanfield Lea Business Centre in Stanley and St Stephens Court in Low Willington which has 14 units that are built using sustainable materials.

Councillor Neil Foster, Cabinet Member for Regeneration at Durham County Council said “We want to make it as easy as possible for companies to move to new premises, establish a base for themselves or expand their operations. Working with CDDC we are also able to offer a property finding service, using local knowledge to identify sites and properties that may be suitable to potential tenants”.
