Wearside businesses attend Durham Oktoberfest 2011 - A must for local businesses

A north east engineering repair company and a provider of managed inventory solutions are the latest organisations to sign up to exhibit at the region’s largest manufacturing and engineering exhibition – and they are urging other businesses to follow their lead. Euroserv Ltd based at Boldon Colliery and Propeller GB based at Peterlee are just two the 90 plus exhibitors expected to take part in Oktoberfest, which takes place on Wednesday, October 19that the XCEL Centre, Newton Aycliffe.

Hitachi at Durham Oktoberfest 2011 – £4.5bn Government Funded Programme For Train Development

The Hitachi European Train Manufacturing Plant is the heart of a £4.5bn Government development programme in Newton Aycliffe, Co. Durham. This investment will generate at least 500 new jobs, and major opportunities for the UK and European supply chain. Hitachi and the development company MPD wish to take the opportunity to bring the audience of exhibitors and event visitors up to date with the development of the Intercity Express Programme and to give initial indications of the potential supply chain requirements that may arise at various stages of the project timeline between late 2012 - when construction at Amazon Park is due to commence – and early 2016 – when the first customer delivery will occur.
